Actually, part of the fast update speed isn't NaNo. It's because I can't play more of the game until I catch up in the story, which means breakneck writing until I reach Coliseum, where Sora will be pwned by heartless shortly after seeing a hot blond guy. Later, Kimi may be pwned by Hercules shortly after making an extremely ill-advised comment regarding his parentage.

Ch5 is about halfway done.

About his actual parentage or the for-kids-Disney-and-presumably-KH-version?

Sora's characterization is interesting. At first how much he was freaking out bothered me, because he does manage to get through this reasonably sanely, but in this story she's really keeping him from adjusting the way he should, so he's getting more and more off balance and is going to have a major breakdown instead of a few minor tantrums.

Well, Sora's better later on. At the start of the game, he's lost his friends followed by his whole world, then the new world he's on gets attacked, and he doesn't even understand what's going on, and then some scary guy comes and beats him up. In the game itself, he freaks out during both Leon cutscenes. I was meaning to make him more happy-go-lucky, but it just doesn't work.
