(I try not to talk in Philosophy)

It's dusting out, ice flecks sparkling in the air as if it's snowing glitter, thin wafers catching in the light to be rainbow for an instant as they fall.

As usual, I wonder if anyone else notices.

In philosophy, a girl said that we must be here for a reason, because otherwise we wouldn't exist, so it must be good to keep existing.

Sometimes, I wonder if people like that really don't have any better reason for being alive.

I don't know. They seem happy enough. I'd think, it's just that they've never thought about it, but which is easier to come to, the world is beautiful, or There is a god out there and it made me here and therefore I should continue to be in the world? So I wonder.

But it's cold out and it's dusting glitter ice and the ground is covered in what looks like powdered sugar, and...

This is the point where I would have yelled out "Logical fallacy!"

Ice/frost is awesome.

I did something to that effect, actually.

Well, as part of human nature, we have to look for a reason to exist. I think she was perfectly logical in that aspect, if she has already found her reason.

It's a sad reason, though. The reason I give is that I want to be here, and her reason is that God did it so it must be good (even if it doesn't seem that way).

I know what you mean.

We don't get snow here, I'm afraid, but I love the rain, especially summer rain that cuts through the stifling, hazy heat and makes the world come to life again. And right now spring has just about started for us. The cactus blossoms are beginning to bud, and sticky little leaves are starting to show on the trees in front of my school. Soon the paloverdes will be in bloom, and the whole city will be covered in little gold flower petals.

Life is good. Isn't life just so, so good? All the infuriating classmates in the world can't change that, try as they might.

I can't wait for rain. Snow is pretty, but it only comes when it's cold and everything's dead, and then it turns to pretty but troublesome ice. But then, it makes squirrels more friendly.

^.^ Life is good.

Sometimes I look outside when it's snowing or when it's raining and it smells nice or it's spring and things are just starting to bloom... and I get this little hit of endorphins or something and I just think about how DELICIOUS the world is and how wonderful it is to be alive.

So when people go, "Without god, what point is there in living!?"...

Silly.
