CHICKENS

I love how they have to huddle up and lean against each other to stay standing, and if one of them so much as twitches they all go toppling over so roly-poly.

Or have yours grown past that point by now?

They are hatching.

Pictures tomorrow!

... You mean all this time you've been freaking out over just the eggs? Now I'm kind of afraid to see how you'll react to having actual fluffy, blinky, roly-poly babies around.

Watching chicks hatch always stresses me out. They're so tiny and weak and slow I just can't believe they're ever actually going to make it.

Can't wait for pictures!

If I actually had chickens, I wouldn't be obsessing so much. My posts are clearly a matter of freaking out over potential chickens.

I might be less crazy if we had the eggs here, but they're all over the place.

XD Can't wait to see the pics. :)

Curious, how many chicks do you have right now?

Dunno. We started with ten eggs, but they aren't all the same age. They started hatching yesterday, and we won't know if more have hatched until we go check on them.

Aww, I love new chicks. They're so fluffy.

Also, they peep.

And wave their arms in utterly doomed attempts to keep their balance.
