Just got done with the new cat.

I bathed her so now she's merely filthy. The water turned rust colored thanks to all the dried blood she was covered in from the hundreds of fleas she had. The only part of her skin that's pink are the welts from the bites, the rest is this horrible yellow color from anemia, which is why I spent the last two hours picking those fleas off her. She's either incredibly docile or too weak to fight back, because she barely struggled during any of this. I might try to soak her again tomorrow and see if I can get the rest of the blood and urine off her.

Her fucking owners didn't even bother putting her outside when they moved away.

It really wasn't all that much. It was my aunt's friend that actually found her.

We're bringing her to the vet tomorrow and I'm going to ask if there's any chance of this going to court, since we can prove who she belonged to.

D: I don't have the stomach for this kind of rescue, but I really admire people who do. Good luck; I hope she makes it.

It really wasn't that bad. I had to get a really good look at her to really see how bad things were. It was only after bathing her I realized just how bad the flea thing had gotten, and by then it was halfway fixed.

She's perked up a lot, so... Well, we'll know once someone actually looks at her, but at the worst, she's happy and not in any pain right now.

I really didn't have to do that much. She just needed really basic care and a bit of carrying around.
