I don't think I could really use it. Currently the ship's already dead in terms of IC characterization, so I guess I'd murder it and hope the fanon dies with it, so that one day the ship can return without any knowledge of this period. Even PI/DD can work.
Hm. Maybe I'd kill Eridan/Sollux, almost all is terrible and what's halfway decent could've been done with an OC. Even that would mean losing out on the hilariously terrible, though!
What about Eridan/Kanaya? Or Gamzee/Kanaya, for that matter? They aren't particularly common, but I still think it would be kind of nice never to have to encounter them again.
