Finally got around to reading "Lucki" here. I quite enjoyed the schadenfreude, irony/tragedy aspect of it. I did find myself skimming over the battle scenes, but I've been doing that with all kinds of fight scenes lately so it might just be me. I noticed that Lucki calls the absol "Fara" in chapter 13.
I liked your dissection of the assumptions that people make about keeping pokemon, though--it's been bothering me as well, an itch-on-my-brain that I couldn't quite find the edge of.
