More Bad Reviews
Sep. 17th, 2004 07:27 pmThe little author Act has started leaving some truly awful reviews and I can only hope something (brain transplant, act of god, I'm not picky) stops him before this goes further.
You know, I really wanted fewer gibbering praise reviews in the section, but if this is the alternative, well, bring on the random squealing. Paraphrased, he's reviewing stories to tell the author to write worse. No, seriously. Death to words of more than two syllables and sentences more complex that 'See Jane run'. Death! I'm not kidding. In another review he's claimed the use of the word 'inconspicuous' is somehow writing to impress, which he'd like you to know is Very Bad. (I suppose he'd have rather the author wrote 'not particularly noticeable due to looking ordinary and blending into the background but not actually camouflaged and unseen, just not memorable to the onlooker' because god, that's so much clearer.)
