So someone died. But it's okay because we don't like him.

I read the article a little while ago, and just looked it up again to see if it had really said all those things. And it did.

See, if a sixteen year old prick in America decides to get a gun and go shoot people for kicks, he gets a lawyer and is treated as a juvenile. If a sixteen year old Muslim is in the general area of a terrorist organization, which he may or may not be helping, which most of his country supports anyway because we've fucked their country over more times than we can count, he gets to be tortured for five years.

They hate us because we're so wonderful, really.

And you probably don't know about this. Isn't that bad? You're probably happier for it. Knowing doesn't matter, because you can't change anything. You can't do anything. So is it wrong exactly to ignore it?

I mean, if bad things are happening, if other people are suffering, but you don't know, it's like none of it's true. And if knowing doesn't change it, why should you?

Only it feels so disrespectful and callous.
