So I'm home. Have been for several days, but I haven't been online because, well, home.

A bunch of my plants died over the winter, so I'm going to have to hunt through catalogues and find replacements. The strawberry patch is now a sorrel patch, so I've begun weeding. (Weeding is hampered by the fact sorrel is edible. Therefore you can't just rip it up. You have to rip it up, put the leaves in a container, then figure out how to cook it.) The lawn is officially dead (I win!) and last year's spire plants are returning and need to be weeded (but that's what little brothers are for). A reasonable quantity of what I think is goldenrod is coming up, which will need to be moved. The blueberries are doing wonderfully, as is the deliberately planted raspberry. The wild raspberries are doing too wonderfully, but I don't want to cut them because they tempt me with half-set fruit.

My brother's psycho kitten is less psycho, and I'm working on being friends. My kitten is getting trapped on the roof, but is okay so far. Wireless is working, actually (I will need to figure out the friend's code) as is downloading (Naruto = awesome). Also, videogames.

My brother has apparently gone from unbalanced to insane, but you can't have everything.

There are many things to cook and plant and buy.

My goodness! You just said... Naruto = awesome... T.T

Ah, you're lucky to be home. I'm not yet.

The timeskip is awesome, heretic! Especially if you download the episodes, then skip past the Naruto/Sakura/etc filler and just watch the Akatsuki parts. ^_^

Not so lucky, actually. I have to go with my little brother to school in the morning for a few hours or he won't do anything (I say just hit him, but nobody listens to me...)

What do you mean he won't do anything? o.O

He sits in class and won't do anything. And if his teacher tries to make him do something, he'll start adding his multiplication problems or scribbling nonsense or just screaming. He deliberately fails tests. My parents have been going in, mainly Mom, and they have a little better luck.

O_O What's wrong with your brother? Being an attention whore?

::shrug::

My parents think it's depression. I say, any kind of behavior that stops when you hit the kid in the head is brattiness, and is best solved by smacking them until they do what you want.

My parents favor the "coo over the poor baby and coax him into doing something" method. When my parents are in charge of what he eats, he eats half a bite of supper and gorges on candy as a reward for "trying it". When I'm in charge, he eats the damn food.

Your method seems effective when you put it that way. =]
