Chapter Eight of Lucki is up.
More than halfway done now, and all the remaining chapters are completely formatted.
Missed in the original shock over the story is one of the things I liked best about Lucki, that it's a trainerfic, and a larger plot, but one where the larger plot clearly is larger. Lucki never gets a sixth pokemon and never finishes collecting badges. When the story goes off the journey track into the real plot in earnest, it never manages, like most stories, to somehow return there for the end for the character, after so many other events, to accomplish their original goal.
I think I'd like to write stories like that more.

I hadn't even thought about Clouded Sky (update...), but that's pretty much the ultimate example of the journey just being the initial setup, and with the journey derailed well before the shift in earnest to the new plot, rather than after. Kudos! I should make a list of some kind.
