Today it rained.
In the morning, there was a light mist, so that when I walked droplets hit my face. It was overcast all day, with sporadic bursts of light rain. I took the umbrella with me when I walked home, but I didn't use it even after it started to rain. I was under the trees for most of the shower.
Rain is wonderful. The air tastes clean, and the sidewalks aren't dusty. The only bad part is that after a rain, worms come out, which is always depressing. Luckily, it hadn't been raining long enough this time, so my walk home was cheerful.
My cat was outside, and wet cats are always affectionate. She stayed in the living room with me after I let her in and slept on the couch. It was cold out, so I could turn on the heat. One of the vents is under the computer, which probably isn't the best idea, but it's nice.
I watched Wolf's Rain and FLCL again with my brother. I'm not quite sure how appropriate it is, but I figure he isn't getting much out of it besides bright pictures and moving images. I really like them. I'm glad I've got cable.
I got eight reviews today, one accidental. It's really funny for an OT mockery story to get more reviews than actual OT stories. Although considering their general quality, not surprising. I can't quite figure out why people write them the way they do. That's not exactly right - it's hard to say. I want to know exactly what prompts them to make up a character with certain characteristics. I know what they do, and I understand the superficial why: they think it's cool and interesting. But I can't quite figure out the deeper why. I'm sure I will ultimately, though, I usually do.
I worked a little on my story, but not too much. I always have trouble writing when I've already completed a chapter without posting it. But I know that'll go away too, once I wait a little bit longer. It's just a matter of deciding how to string together scenes.
It was a nice day.
