So I'm nineteen now.
I actually forgot about my birthday entirely this year. If it wasn't for people reminding me that day, I probably wouldn't be changing my age on various profiles until some point past January.
I am pleased by it, though. As I said last year, eighteen isn't a good age. Nineteen is the point you start getting real adult credit, not baby adult credit like eighteen. Nineteen is the age of getting killed doing stupid stuff involving alcohol, which would be ominous except that I'm not going to get killed like that, so it just lends a more serious feel. Seventeen is still better connotatively overall, but it's definitely got a more kiddie edge, and considering the last guess at my age was fourteen, I'm less enamored with things like that. Nineteen it is.
