Actually the best part is no one really cares

So...during the whole Vietnam mess, America did what we so often do:convinced some of the natives to fight for our side because we don't value their lives as much. Afterward, we let the survivors immigrate to America. In part because some of them would die horribly if they stayed, thanks to the whole fighting-for-our-side thingy.

Anyway, the help they gave us involves taking up guns and attacking the local government, which was communist and therefore our enemy.

Now, from about 1775 to 2000, people who do that are "freedom fighters". From 2001 to, apparently, the rest of all time, they are "terrorist babyrapists". Thus, we've perfectly reasonably banned them from getting into the country.

This is very, very funny. But really, the absolute best part? The reason they're trying to immigrate is, in large part, that people in their home country really want to kill them for helping us. (Ironically, those people probably have a better chance of getting a passport.)

So it's not just that we used them as cheap fodder for a war, destroying their lives and getting many of them killed. It's not just that the current regulations are staggeringly hypocritical. It's that we're fucking them over again for the hell of it.

Really, the terrorists hate us because we are so very very wonderful.
