Regarding the sale

Wait, is the sale because Lj isn't family friendly enough and they're sick of us, or was all the family friendliness demanded in order to make the sale to these new guys?

What's Russia's free speech stance? I know it sucks politically...
But they shouldn't care about fundy shit, right? The freest kind of speech is the kind they don't care about.
And even if I feel like calling Putin a jackass, they can't push me down a staircase in America. Because I'm in America and all.

ETA three hours later: Nevermind, Russia's down with the witchhunting too. Oddly, I feel better knowing knowing we're not trading off Harry Potter porn for Russian free speech, but rather our new overlords will be fucking everyone over.
