Continuing our reviewwatch and category examination

Up to 1941 reviews. That's 58 reviews posted to the Homestuck category and 129 reviews to Homestuck total. There's currently a mere 36 stories remaining in the category, and that's including my own and ones I've reviewed elsewhere, so at this rate I'll finish it before hitting 2012 reviews total. Of course, also at this rate, there'll be plenty of stories posted before the end of the year.

Demeanon, Latia, EvilPieIsGood, sqbr, r3tro_Roxel, Anti_Logic and bbyah all continue our trend of lovely, lovely sanity about the whole affair. The latter also said their weirdly all-boy fic was due to being based on a kink meme prompt for the characters, so we continue return once more to the question of if prompts just reflect or influence fandom trends. Either way someone needs to spam the meme with requests for female characters.

Anyway, character focus so far! First character is viewpoint or main, slash denotes secondary who may or may not be paired.

So, almost all boys. Of the few girls, almost none as viewpoint/main characters. Karkat is a popular main character. Sollux, Tavros and Gamzee seem to have disproportionate numbers, but a chunk of Gamzee fic is running with sober!Gamzee, admittedly not a niche many characters provide. (Though now that I write that, there is Jackspers.) There is a general tragic lack of carapace.

Well, all things must come to an end. As you may have noticed last time, one of the Homestuck fanfics was a pretty standard badfic. I'm actually pretty pleased by the response - it isn't the frothing lunacy of Pokemon, but a passive-aggressive little thing! How Homestuckian. Stay awesome, new fandom.

( There's nothing wrong with feeling the need to be harsh towards others in order to either help them become better, or just berate them completely that may or may not be due to some sort of superiority complex. That's who you are, and you're aparrently fine with that. Who am I to tell you to be otherwise? )

This also reaffirms that I need to post the high school AU. It's always good to have a slow moving target on my profile for people to revenge review.
