Well, I've managed to reconstruct things a bit. Really, my mistake was thinking things weren't all functioning on a two or three degrees of separation system.

So one of the things I found weird was Moony coming out of nowhere, especially because there didn't seem to be any concerted effort to inform random authors and neither did Moony go anywhere with it. But LJ has implemented their guests feature, and while it seems most people opted out (or else I've got a ton of anons - could be either, really) there are still a lot of new names popping in.

[livejournal.com profile] awriterofthings, for one. Who's doing a "positive review month" to "combat the negativity spreading through fanfiction.net". Which is a step up from what she (and there's where Moony's name pops up) was apparently doing before, which was following me around and posting Don't pay any attention to Farla's review. She's a troll. She's purposely trying to post 900 negative reviews in the pokemon section before the end of the month and your story unfortunately got in the way. to everyone. (No, I don't know where the 900 bit comes from.)

Anyway, I feel the best summary of her attitude is found in I discovered that some of the stories I was reviewing had more chapters. Unfortunately I don't have time to give long reviews on every chapter of every story. If I really enjoy the story, I will make a note to return to it in the future. But I can't afford to waste all my energy on one author when there are others out there who need positive reinforcement too.

And yes, they did manage only three days worth. Really, people, would it kill you to have some work ethic?

You do inspire a lot of things in people, Farla. Hatred, yes. Amusement, yes. And now reviewing! Granted, I think this person is being particularly thick, but at least it's getting some reviewing done. *shrug* (I'm trying to be positive here, heh.)

Without you - and Yami, I'm sure - my life would be so dull!

Yeah, I figured it was a net gain. I'm honestly mostly annoyed by the fact they stopped so fast.

Honestly, I'm not sure where you get the energy for this from.

...

Is it spite?

"She's a troll"

not entirely certain if these people truly don't understand that the term "troll" can't really be applied indiscriminately to everyone you disagree with, or they sincerely believe that you've been dispatched from the gates of internet hell to dispassionately bring about the ruin of the pokefandom as we know it

Well, secretly I'm only doing this at the behest of the Digimon fandom to shatter the morale of the category. My reviews will singlehandedly destroy the will of all pokewriters. The psychic trauma will be so great it will resonate outward, destroying all other pokemon fanfiction sites, and into the future, preventing any new writers from ever entering the fandom.

And then Digimon, having long before crushed Monster Rancher beneath their pawed feet, shall rule alone.

They have promised me cookies.

It's nice to see someone trying to do some serious critical but overall positive reviewing... I just wish a lot of her advice didn't make me cringe.

Also, did you see the DA post about how you're a troll? MoonyMonster shows up in the comments to announce that she came over here and posted.

Kaching12: "I read your comment on her lj, and I just wanted to say I really liked what you said, no matter how she responds - and that I also didn't read that whole post of hers either."

MoonyMonster: "No one could. That thing's longer than a book..."

<3 Long posts.

Oh, so that's where the 900 reviews of evil bit came about. Jesus people, reading comprehension.

I liked how one of them actually checked out what I was doing and admitted it wasn't actually that terrible. Now I just wonder what sort of reviews their evil Digimon reviewer is giving.
