I took another look at the ending—I didn't realize that 'protective pokemon' stories were common enough that the it might come off as a cliche. It does feel rushed and I might tweak it later, but I like how it turned out in the end, and since I already have a sequel half-planned out, I'm torn about changing the story's events for the sake of closure.
