More on reviews

farlaSo another fifteen reviews. In the treadmill that is my reviewing life, that means my current total reviews is 1930. A quick check through says that most of the Homestuck fic I reviewed is still up, so I guess some of the older pokemon stuff must have been deleted.
That's 73 reviews posted to the Homestuck category, 144 (a gross!) reviews given to all Homestuck fic, and currently a mere 25 stories remaining in the category - I've reached the first page! (watch that change by the time I wake up tomorrow).
Also people are still doing the favoriting thing and the category continues to be review poor in general. It's enough to make one ponder endnotes on the subject of how this isn't supposed to be a huge deal.
In terms of my own reviews, our insanity streak continues.

I don't want to waste your time, and I don't intend on blocking anyone from
reviewing my stories, no matter if it's a massive, useless compliment, a
demand for updating, constructive criticism or just simple flaming.
I can't know if you ever get any messages similar to this one, and I can't
know if you'll ever have anything to do with my stories, since our irrelevancy
to each other is endless. But just to help both of us out, don't review my
stories if you really think you can't.

You're actually incorrect with some of the grammar corrections. :) But thank
you, I will keep your advice in mind.
The kids are much older in this story and events, which have not been revealed
in the story yet, have changed them. They are not suppose to sound exactly the
same.

So the idea writing dialogue properly is just an opinion is not confined to pokemon stuff.

Hey firstly thanks for your thoughtful review, I'd respond via the review
responder but it's not working. I kinda wish you'd read the slightly better
version on AO3 because it's had more editing done to it but oh well.
Secondly, I can tell you're a real pro at creative writing and I plan to read
some of your homestuck stuff soon! But as a result of that I think you're
overestimating the SRS BZNS aspect of this stuff. Reading your profile makes
it look like you're on a crusade to piss people off, and if that's the case
maybe you're going about it wrong. It's possible to give constructive
criticism in a manner that doesn't offend them. I'd never claim my fanfiction
is perfect- or anywhere near!- but as a hobby and something done for fun, I
don't really appreciate having this kind of judgement on it.
Regarding your specific critiques, as I state on the Ao3 version, this was a
crack challenge fic that was always supposed to be a little stupid and a
little OOC. I've never written vampires or tentacles before and frankly am not
interested in either. However, I wrote it because the premise was stupid
enough to me to be funny. The fact that you took it so seriously (or seemed to
have) is slightly alarming! The ridiculous level of purpleness in the
beginning should have been warning enough.
Now this has gotten far too long, so let me finish by stating a few points
quickly and not elaborating on them.
-I spend 8-10 hours per day learning Chinese, a language with practically no
punctuation at all.
-Almost all my remaining time is taken up with military duties
-I know how to punctuate grammar but I forget the finer details after 9 hours
of chinese work
-In the hour or so of free time I get per day, I don't feel like doing more
nitty-gritty language stuff
tl:dr chill and let people have fun sometimes, it's not up to you to save the
English language
