The whining about how there's nowhere to post Homestuck meta because nowhere has Homestuck meta being posted irritates me. I'm tempted to write up some long rant about moirails (STOP CALLING IT BROMANCE, FUCKERS) just so I can post it somewhere.

Do it. I'd love to hear your thoughts on moiraillegience.

They won't be anything particularly inventive, I'm aiming for canon compliance.

I'd love to hear about it!

I'm not really in the Homestuck fandom, but there's really no place for meta? Don't they have a bunch of discussion threads on the forums and stuff?

(Then again, there doesn't really seem to be a lot of place for Pokémon meta, either, besides $your_personal_site, so perhaps it's not all that uncommon a fandom problem.)

But people really call moiraillegience "bromance?" Whaaaat?

There's the forum, and there's a couple LJ communities and a lot of discussion on the anon memes. I posted something on one once and got a lot of responses, but no one else posted anything further. So now there's chatter about how someone would post meta but none of the communities are for it, because no one posts meta on them.

And yes. Many of them. They talk about epic bromance. They have the characters using phrases like "brorail". They tag their fics with it. On and on and on while I try to decide what I hate more, the basic concept of the word or the fact even its stupid definition that I hate isn't even what moirallegience is.

They also distinguish it from red/blackrom by describing it as "platonic". Which is why there's absolutely nothing wrong about how all of Kanaya's popular pale pairings are with guys at this point, because are you saying lesbians can't have guy friends???????????

You should definitely do that. Moirallegiance = bromance is the worst fucking trope.

And it's wrong!

I honestly can't decide which pisses me off more. I am really pedantic.

Huh.

I guess the quadrant is still too difficult for most humans to comprehend.

...you really shouldn't use that avatar when talking about humans like we are an unsophisticated alien species.

Of course, Kyubey would think that quadrants are complete bullshit too. Why are you attempting to systematize something as inherently chaotic as emotions? The only truly logical way of dealing with them is to eradicate them entirely!

I think his thoughts would be more along the lines of KA-CHING!

If the drama of teenage human girls is enough to power the entire universe, imagine what you could get out of trolls.

Well obviously. It's bullshit, but cowchips can be used to stoke fires!

Only illogical! When faced with an clear explanation, it seems customary for the majority of human beings to disregard said explanation entirely. Your species does not take truth kindly.

It is silly, but then there wouldn't be any magical girls to combat the entropy of the universe!

...But fft! Indeed. It is the only way!
