I'm looking for characters for an upcoming story of mine. The basic premise is that pokemon becomes real.

This causes, among other things, the appearance of a variety of characters: real-world pokemon players who can head into the new world with all the pokemon they've captured in the games; author self-inserts of any type, created original characters, and so on. That's where you come in. If pokemon became real...who would you want to exist?

Anything you can imagine is allowed. Kids from the real world, kids from the pokemon one, hybrids (anthro/pokemorphs), pokemon, or anything else.

And here's another one...

I finally got around to thinking up some moderately interesting characters to add. I had forgotten all about the possibility of people from the pokémon world being allowed, as well as pokémorphs. Here are a couple...

Name: Alex
Age: 22
Appearance: A bit heavyset and fairly muscular. Fill in the blanks, I'm not big on character appearance.
Personality: Gruff and intimidating, but not a bad person, once you get to know him. He expects a lot out of others (and his pokémon) but also a lot out of himself.
Special Abilities: None
Goals: Alex is one of those rare trainers who continues training after the usual dropoff age. Mainly, he's looking to get rich (see the "history" section for a bit about how.)
History: Alex is a Kantonian by birth and spent most of his younger years blissfully unaware of the "real world." After the two worlds collided or whatever, a wealth of new job opportunities became open to trainers. Alex got the idea that he would train powerful pokémon and then sell them as bodyguards to high-ranking officials in the "real" world. His reasoning is that, which would you rather have, a bunch of wimpy humans with guns or a humongous armor-plated tank-like creature with at least their intelligence? He's a pioneer in the field, but he plans to make the big bucks with his idea. Currently, he mostly does the tournament circuits to train his pokémon to very high levels before selling them.
Pokémon: Alex plans to get rid of these. Whether he wants to admit it or not, he's become very fond of them and will probably try to sell them as a complete team rather than as individuals. How that works out is, well, up to you. A brief description of each pokémon's purpose on the team is added to their description, should you raise eyebrows at any of them.

1. Alakazam (no nickname, male)
Of course, Alakazam has astounding reflexes and the ability to psychically throw opponents into walls and the like. Alex has his as a more defensive moveset, including the "barrier" move to provide cover to the official under attack. It can also teleport someone out of danger, provided they're within a short distance of itself at the time.
2. Spirfargio (self-created, see profile below. No nickname, male)
As a half-ghost, Spirfargio is immune to most human's conventional arms, making it ideal to send after a gang of baddies without having to worry about risk to it. Its intimidating appearance is also a deterrent to violence.
3. Aggron (no nickname, female)
Basically, a wall. Put this between yourself and your attackers and you won't have to worry so much about them (unless you're surrounded). While Alakazam can provide light defenses on a moment's notice, they are fragile and easily overcome by multiple attacks. Really, he just slows attacks down to allow Aggron to get into position.
4. Blissey (no nickname, female)
First aid. Need I say more?
5. Ditto (no nickname, no gender)
The ultimate in creating decoys. As long as it has sunglasses or something else to obscure the lingering "dittoish" eyes (animé canon there, I suppose) it can lure attackers away as a false target.
6. Crobat (no nickname, female)
Crobat is obviously a swift messenger and excellent at providing concealed escape with haze. It can temporarily debilitate opponents with attract and do decent damage with attacks, too.

Name: Spirfargio
Type: Ghost/Fire
Description: A huge, winged creature apparently made out of spectral flame. Its wings do not have to beat to hold it suspended in the air. Its long, trailing tail is in constant motion, and its eyes are an eerie black with whit e irises. That good enough?
"Pokédex" information: Spirfargio are said to be born of the spirits of lost souls doomed to eternally wander the land. Though sinister in appearance, they have far more distinct motivations than most ghosts, which are generally considered to be indiscriminately evil. As such, people speculate on what circumstances surrounding a pokémon's death cause them to become Whispo (the base form of Spirfargio.)
Moves: Will-o-Wisp, Leer, Ember, Mean Look, Night Shade, Flame Wheel, Hypnosis, Spirit Flare (see below), Perish Song
Created Move: Spirit Flare
Type: Ghost
Base Power: 60
Acc: 100
Additional Effects: 30% chance of burn condition
