Done! Now at least I have time to write more angering Eridan meta and fanfic again.

Plus, it means I won't run into any more nutjobs for a while.

Also for some reason I just got three hundred hits to the Shiplypics bonus post. There's probably some connection.

But that's not what really matters!

This is Grouchyface, pictured here being grouchyfaced and cold. We had to drive a long way and he was pretty chilled by the time we got home.

Later, Grouchyface enjoyed his first shower as part of unblocking his leg pores.

"I have time to write more angering Eridan meta"

"I won't run into any more nutjobs"

I'm not sure you've thought this through all the way.

Grouchyface is cute! What is he and why is his neck big? And unblocking leg pores?

Oh. Well. A different sort of nutjob at least.

He's a bearded dragon! Their defense mechanism for being grabbed is to puff up so it's easier to hold onto them and then open their mouth to show off that they don't have real teeth!

The boys have these big pores on their legs that release waxy stuff, which it turns out can get very clogged. I spent a while soaking him and then prying them out, and then more soaking and prying and pushing. Now he extra hates me.

That's true! Dealing with people who are weirdly over-invested in fictional is probably preferable to dealing with people who are weirdly over-invested in you.

Ah, cool! I probably should have been able to recognize a common pet like a bearded dragon, but I admit don't really know a lot about non-avian reptiles.

I only know because Mom bought one for school-related things because they're one of the few lizards that are big enough to be held by kids without being big enough to injure the kids for doing so. Apparently he was popular enough one of the parents bought their own, realized their error and then gave us him.

A bearded dragon! They're like iguanas without the being a terrible, terrible decision and growing to be six feet of hatred.

Ohhh, a bearded dragon! I remember we had one of those as a class pet in year 4...the nodding thing was mystifying but very entertaining to a bunch of 10 year olds. Grouchyface is kind of the perfect name!

They're a lot better pets than most lizards. Active-ish without being too nasty.

An okay place, at least! It's not really as warm as he'd like it.

I'd like to congratulate you on completing your month of reviewing. I've been trying to do a few reviews but there are a few stories that I just can't get through. Props to you for having the stamina to do them all.

Honestly, the real trick is just not getting stuck on those. Stories that are just a complete mess I just give basic grammar advice and call it a day. And it's better to give a lot of reviews but skip a few than it is to review everyone you read and only manage a handful total.
