I really wish people would stop invoking my name in other places, especially when it involves points I don't even make.

Seriously, if you're that scared of me, you shouldn't be irritating me like this.

(I think I'm going to go update Unoriginality out of spite.)

If it were you, I'd be showing my maturity by flaming your stories to hell and back while unleashing my minions (that I totally have) and writing an ebil parody of your stories while...um, whatever else it is I do. I don't know, sending my flying monkeys after you or something.

It's more an issue of Pokecommunity regularly irritating me. I check up on it now and again because of this sort of stuff.

Monkeys! :3

Oh, Pokécommunity. Yeah, it does even worse things to my blood pressure than SPPf, so I stay away entirely. Dx

It gives me horrible stomach aches and I wind up so wired I can't sleep for four hours, but it's the best inspiration for writing I've ever found. Mm, spite, how I love you.

D: Sorry!

...I assume you're referring to the recent "Are pokémon oppressed by their trainers?" discussion?

I'm generally dissatisfied every time my name pops up there, since it always leads to discussing something three degrees removed and attributing ideas or statements to me that I didn't say. So while that particular bit was irritating, so was the rest. I don't like my parody being lumped into some generic mass of self-aware mary sue fiction designed to bash n00bs either, especially since I loath the word. And while I'm sure both [livejournal.com profile] jaxmalcom and [livejournal.com profile] lil_ida had the best of intentions...the bit about created pokemon never had the point system or even intent. And so on.

I'm all for taking both credit of and accountability for what I actually said, but a bit less behind the idea of getting credit/blame for third hand accounts of my opinions discussed while I'm not around.

Ehe... sorry. I was just poking around Mai's stuff (I like to poke) and found her mentioning of the story. A lot of points seemed rather valid and had me thinking about it, and I just wanted to see what everyone else thought. ^.^;

Still, I've never seen someone think about Pokemon so deeply, so I couldn't help but show off your views. XP

It's fine, it wasn't even what provoked this and like I said, I'm sure your intentions were fine. It's the forum in general that I find so annoying.

If you're referring to the quote Ida posted starting with my reference to A.J., then I was actually referring to one or more of your one-shots (if I recall correctly, as Ida's apparently been archive-diving into my old posts), not your parodies. If I made any other comment concerning any of your reviews, it was mainly because I agreed with you and felt you said it better than I did. (So rather than plagiarising what you have said, I occasionally quote it. My discomfort with created Pokemon included.) I am not, by the way, trying to be a toady in those cases; I have disagreed with you on other points I'd rather not mention here.

However, I apologize for referencing you in my comments, although I would have been more comfortable if you simply told me privately one way or another awhile ago that you felt that way.

Honestly, I'm not upset at you or her, and that wasn't what prompted the post. I was sort of confused to see that pop up, but I could work it out - you were taking something and applying a point system, then lil_ida saw it and quoted the whole thing as me.

The parody is from the newest mention - someone posting about how so-called good authors - me and two others - are all writing self-aware sue parodies to bash n00bs without being helpful in the slightest, which was the straw that provoked the post. It's somewhat irritating generally to be continually referred to as 'the evil person' thirdhand, or to have some stranger going on periodic diatribes against you over something she heard about your story that she never bothered reading, or watching other people whine behind your back because you criticized their poor story, and so forth.

Which was where the "why do you annoy me so much if you claim to be so scared of me?" post came from.

I'm just curious to know what post involved a point system. I'm not a frequenter of PC, so I have no idea what Ida's quoted from PFU except for one post she sent me via IM, though I have the feeling it's not just that. (In other words, maybe if I dug around and found a post, it might be easier to understand where you're coming from.)

Sorry about misinterpreting what you were saying about the parody, by the way. I assumed you were referring to the fact that I sometimes talk about it on PFU to other writers who need a list of the basic cliches (mostly because they have no idea they're writing them).

One about created pokemon (http://pokecommunity.com/showpost.php?p=1799958&postcount=2951) (could a normal pokemon fit the same role? Did you make it up just to make your character unbeatable?). It's not so much that I disagree as it is I didn't exactly say or mean that, so I dislike finding others discussing if they think I'm right or wrong or hypocritical in the matter based on it.

I suppose I'd just prefer for people to discuss things without using me as a scapegoat of sorts. It's one thing to be included as an aside in an argument someone claims as their own, or to have something I said linked, or even to get credit for an idea, and another to have other people summarizing what they think I said and disagreeing, and then tying it back to me when they're done as an example of me being wrong/deceitful in the matter.
