I think the parody-played-straight is turning out to be a really versatile idea. I wonder if I can track down any other examples of it...
The worst part about the dialogue is that I do have ways of fixing it, but I'm heading into militant feminism after hanging out over on scans_daily for too long and so can't do it.
The solution is to make one character mostly quiet. But Riku is the one who takes charge, so he's talking. Sora is the viewpoint character, so he should talk. Kairi would be really easy to sweep off to the side and give few lines, especially since bamf!kid is so hostile, but that's exactly what fanfic does to her.
