I assume you mean 'the mean reviewer' bit? That's really meant more as a joke-ish thing, because that's how I'm referred to (in livejournals or other places where I see people talking to each other), and that's usually all anyone takes away from what I say - that I'm just being mean.(And people who email me are also usually surprised when I don't respond with an apology) It's not really much of an ego thing - if I was actually good at this, I'd be able to get people to understand what they did wrong and change. Since I can't, it's really more of a failure.
And the story really *is* meant to be a thinly disguised bunch of lessons. The first chapter was written to let off steam, the second out of curiosity, and all else as advice/story-essays. I'm really not much of a humor writer. I think I am too blunt, but I judge by the reviews how much people get the point, and they seem to miss it if I'm more subtle, so I write bluntly and often have author notes at the beginning and end explaining.
I'm glad to hear you think Ice will be interesting. Barring further events and my procrastination, the chapter should be out soon. Feel free to review brutally if it's not to your liking! ^^
(And what exactly does the subject line mean, anyway?)
