Serebii's epic fail, let me show you it. In your fanfic AU you made it that way? Yes, that it the bestest evidence ever it actually works that way. How can anyone argue with that?

There is so much FAIL and WIN in the whole thread I keep waiting for it to spontaneously explode like matter/antimatter.

In other news I began consolidating fic over at Fanlib. Being there is starting to degrade my sarcasm generator. Even I don't quite know where I'm going with this.

granted, the water and stuff is at an inflated cost,

$200 = inflated cost?

Wow. I didn't think anyone would fail that much in an argument.

I'm guessing the fact that the Pokemon world is based on Japan and the little detail that the monetary symbol is a thinly veiled reference to the yen symbol really doesn't matter here?

Yeah. You know, I remember being a young, stupid eleven year old and thinking everything was expensive. I can sympathize. And then I stumbled across a currancy converter, connected that to the fact the Japanese anime I watched referred to a hundred yen as dirt cheap, and used my little kid brain to figure out the obvious rather than assuming America is exactly the same as everywhere else in the world.

But he said otherwise in his FANFIC. That is also AU. Therefore it must be canon. Your logic has no place here!

I'm still trying to figure out why he'll capitalize the first letter of every sentence except the one that starts a new line. Aesthetic appeal? Keyboard with a very rare and specific dysfunction? The world may never know!

Perhaps he's a rebel against the English language - or just a rebel, without, a, clause.

(See what I did there?)

Nevermind, I have lots of sub-clauses there, which is actually the opposite of what I wanted. It'd be a joke if there were no clauses BUT THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE if I want to communicate the joke.

Replace it with "a messed up clause" and it works.

You know, it's something I've noticed with self-proclaimed intelligent members of fic boards. Yamato-san and not-Yamato-san (Issac something?) over at PC do it too...

It is because he is more sensitive than you to the long and torrid tale of woe between the shift key and the enter key. You jerk. They had a terrible break up, you know. Harsh keystrokes were exchanged. Exclamation marks and smilies were abused. All involved were happy with the eventual mutual decision to avoid each other. Can't you respect that!?

It's a fun thread. At this point my comments have degenerated from, "Annoyed and looking to start a flame war because of the stupid," to, "Apathtic because this is so ridiculous why are these people so stupid."

I'd consider joining, if I were you.

I would but I cannot :( It is so sad I cannot partake of the stupid.

...though this is seriously making me consider trying, ban or no ban. I mean, I'm permabanned, all they can do is ban me again, so...

What exactly... do they do? Is it an IP ban (that shouldn't be hard to bypass)? Can you log in to your account? If Zephyr Flare isn't around to foster the morons (and Dragonfree seems to be playing for teams Logic and Snark), will anyone really care even if you post under the exact same name?

Hm...I haven't really been moved to find out. Couldn't log in on either account at the time (just got a ban message), and it should have been an IP ban under the circumstances but I'm not sure mini-Yami had the ability/intelligence to pull it off.

So I could check it out. Hm.

How can that portion be parallel to the whole first book? We haven't even caught a glimpse of "the Antichrist and all"! Or is Nicky Appalachian just so implausible that you're going to completely rewrite that part of the plot?

I'm surprised you haven't throttled soraisahottie443 yet. If someone kept commenting on my stories with "u should rite more," my response would not be "Thanks!" but "You should write better."

My character isn't a closeted gay porn star, so she's not in the position to run into the Antichrist directly, and he's not jumping into prominence yet. The implausible/omfgstupid of Nicky is an issue - I'm thinking of keeping him mostly off-camera, and probably ignore some of the details of their particular version (they told us gay couples would end the world! They warned and they warned and we didn't listen!) and she hasn't absorbed enough of the batshit to start watching the UN in case it makes any sudden moves.

The pastor's going to outline what to look for, and they'll start making moves to cut all ties with the rest of society (and buy guns. Because that always works out so terribly well), and in the background there will be calls for unity that aren't a big deal even to the church since they're all busy, and before you know it we're got the horrors of a One World Government, decreased military spending and socialized health care. I, for one, welcome our new UN overlords.

and he's not jumping into prominence yet.

That's what I was referring to, actually. If you're dividing your story into sections corresponding with the books, he should be fairly well-known by the end of the first section.

I, for one, welcome our new UN overlords.

That's because you're a conscienceless liberal with no concept of reality. It's people like you that'll bring about the end of the world. Then you'll really be sorry!

Technically, but I'm not following the timeline strictly (also, the rapture comes a few months after the bombing, rather than a year). Even with the plot-mandated sudden rise to power, the book timeline is just too sudden.

Oh, and soramumblemumble is pretty much the standard level of commenter there. Having pissed off the inutards, I intend to present myself up as otherwise reasonable simply because I'm not sure how much complaining it'd take to get me kicked off. They have a very active and very present modding team...
