It's a shame the whole current race mess is still going on here. I want to hear about the racism in Resident Evil 5 final verdict, and it's not like I'm going to get it from actual gaming sites.

Maybe. The imagery they're using seems off to me, but given the setting, it's tricky to tell exactly what they're going for, and obviously there's a huge difference between "The setting is African and therefore it's a hellhole" and "The setting is a failed African state and therefore it's a hellhole". There's definitely a difference in the portrayal of the setting/people compared to RE4, but when you've only got two samples it's hard to tell what differences mean. (And Sheva...I wouldn't know where to begin untangling things there.)

Gaming sites have come down on the "not racist" side, of course, but...after reading a few comments on how not sexist things are, you can't help but think something must be racist for them to think it isn't.
