This is bothersome not just because I place an unhealthy amount of importance on having a reliable record of reviews, but because it means I have no idea what stories are even reviewed - it's been years since I could keep a general idea of how many reviews each story had, and, for similar reasons, it's also been years since I could reliably double-check all the different stories if I didn't remember.
Hopefully I caught it in time, but then, there's really no way to know, is there?
At any rate, I'm a bit more than halfway done with the current PR chapter. It's being completed reworded, and I dropped out all the side scenes. Ultimately, I don't know if the new version is actually better, or will be liked more, but it's more maturely written and I decided that's really what I care about.
PR is one of those stories that very rapidly divorces from any clear sense of quality, since I'll get reviews explaining it is the best/worst thing written in the history of ever on a regular basis, sometimes in the same day. That's one of the many things I hate about it.
