So mostly, my problem with the guide is that I want to go into detail to explain, but at the same time know that's just confusing people who are trying to just follow directions. (This is why the grammar guide has summary sections just listing right and wrong ways of doing it.) So the solution is that the guide should be in 101 and 201 form, with 101 just being straight up directions.

Also, did you know people will just walk right past an opossum? Like it's not even there! What the fuck is wrong with people? It's an opossum! They are giant monkey-rats! What more do you want?

What was the opossum even doing out at a time/place where people would be walking right past it?

Oh, it was like...eight or nineish? so it was dark. I think it might have been early in the hopes of scavenging food before anything else got it. (Possibly there are multiple opossums around, or maybe a raccoon? I was hearing this clicking sound that might have been a friend opossum calling to it.)

I was driving late at night once, and slammed on the breaks because of what I thought was a very large cat ran in front of my car. Then it came into my headlights. It was opossum-zilla, and it was ugly as sin.

Exactly! How on earth can you ignore them? They don't even blend in well, they're white. And the fangs! They have teeth like vampire rats. There is no way that is not awesome.

My mom could never walk past an opossum. We actually caught four babies a year or so ago and raised them for about three weeks before releasing them once more. It was a rather interesting experience, and I can at least admit that I have expierience with animals.
