farlaThe story everyone least wants me to update continues! (Also I totally finished the next chapter of Inheritors and most of the following one, I swear.)
I'm currently engaged in a race of sorts with someone else, thus, productivity. (1.5 vs 2.1 before the update.) Next up, biting the bullet and getting through the PR chapter.
I mostly like the "as you know" bit, since it's one of those cardinal sins of dialogue. I was trying to mimic the sort of babbling people do when they're anxious, distracted and in the presence of someone much higher on the totem pole than them. He catches himself the second time and uses "as you know" in place of telling us what's going on.
There's probably a better way to integrate large chunks of setting info, but I haven't figured it out yet.
