How can you deprive us of hopeful kitty-hatted Kanaya and confused, confused Rose?

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. Clones are just copies and anyway, all clones of of themselves, it's the whole point. If you want to throw in a reference to them being paradox clones, you could just say that their genetic structure is has some weird stuff in it that doesn't match up to anyone else on the planet, including their direct ancestors.

Anyway, this is impressive and the interactions between the various kids are cute. I'm curious how the dreamworld will fit into this(and who the red king is), since this seems to be very different than the standard sburb universe.

Knitting, or, My Life In Yarn: A Rose Lalonde Story
I know nothing about knitting, but I found everything easy to follow, and the details made it feel real.
But if she used yarn-overs in, say, a sweater, the holes would be a bad thing. They'd let the cold in, and hurt the overall integrity of the fabric. They might still be pretty, but they're just as likely to be a mess of Swiss cheese.
Dave scares her so much sometimes. His temporal abilities save his life time and time again, but she's seen the corpses of alternate versions of him, evidence of timelines gone bad. But he - some version of him - always comes back to them, to warn them about what has to happen and what'll get them killed
I like the particular abruptness here. You do a good job throughout of showing how knitting helping tie her thoughts together and keep her from losing it completely, and how each sort of knitting connects to what's going on at the time.
Jade's still horrified at the thought of using her rifle on anything alive, and no torment from the imps or coaxing from Rose and John can convince her otherwise.
This bothers me, though - she's nice, but she lived with a trophy hunter and from her one-sided conversation it seems clear she was expected to defend herself with that gun. She can fight.
