Easter!

I made Easter cookies!

I did about one-third the halved recipe I did for the Christmas cookies. That made four baskets.

First you make a flat cookie base, and roll out a long strip.



The stripe is twisted up to make the handle pattern.



Put the egg in the center, then another strip over it to hold it on.



Then cook at 400 for ten minutes.



Then frost.

And that's the meaning of Easter.

(Remember, everyone, Madoka died for your soul gem!)

I wish I'd watched the last episode earlier and had time to do more with eggs. Painting a bunch with a gold pattern and then spending all of Easter talking about our savior Madoka would have been fun.

I will have to remember to do that next year.
