Aug. 29th, 2012 09:37 pmFinally got the cat to the vet. She has liver damage, not leukemia! Yay! The vet explained that her poor eating and drinking is because she probably feels sick all the time, so she gave us ultra concentrated cat food and a syringe. I figure we'll stop forcefeeding when she's strong enough to draw blood. We also bought some dry kitten food there too, since she liked their brand and kitten food is the highest calorie.

She already looks so much better than she did. And she's not wobbling when she walks now, either. As you see, she's alert, and she's cleaned herself off without needing a second bath. Also, she was trying to stalk the chickens from the porch earlier today.
The vet has no idea how old she is. She guessed middle age due to the discoloring in the left eye, but said her teeth look much younger and that it's impossible to tell more due to how awful she looks, so all we know is she's seven or less. Supposedly, she's four.
