Dan and Blair most definately. Dear Lord, they have NOTHING in common. The producers just put them together to fill in time due to Chairlessness. -_- Hate it from the depths of hell.

Ohh that’s a hard one! They’re both so cute. Maybe Serena/Darien. If I had to choose.

There's also some quality commentary everywhere about how Rhine is stupid they'd love living with a rich guy especially if he looked like (insert actor here) because you're only ever kidnapped by your celebrity crush, that's totally how it works.

Over on FFN, I formally retract my previous statements regarding the people there having a better grasp of the issues than the author as there's now a forum up for the category.

Rhine and Gabriel Forever
This is a forum to support Rhine and Gabriel through all the tough times. Linden/Cecily is also allowed, but I cannot abide Linder/Rhine. It is disgusting in all it represents.

So I'm going to go crosspost my fic to tumblr in the hopes it'll upset people following the tag even a little. Someone with a stronger stomach than mine needs to write Rapist/Cecily porn and spam it to that forum.

...wow. Wow. I cannot even unpack all the levels on which this is an utterly baffling thing for this particular person to be saying about this particular series.

The mental image that popped into my head was at first hilarious but the more I dwell on it the more horrifying it gets but I can't stop laughing.

On another note, I am disturbed, amused, and ever so slightly gratified at the inclusion of Darien/Serena in all this awfulness.

Twilight fandom is the most hatefully misogynist non-slash fandom I've seen, so I didn't even blink at that. Of course fangirls screwed everything up, who else could be blamed?

I can't tell if the Darien/Serena bit is redeeming or if it just means she watched the show patiently waiting for Tuxedo Mask to kidnap Serena and lock her in his mansion.

I'm a little bit worried about how she even knows them. None of her other fandoms are anime, and most of them are much more recent. Childhood favorite from when it was airing? That would make her my age at least, which is significantly older than I want to believe she is.

It was on Toonami in 1999-2000 during the afternoon. She would have been a kindergartener and would therefore have the time to watch. I know this because I watched and discovered in high school that my peers did as well.

Ah, that makes sense. I watched in late elementary school so the timing synchs up just fine. It's just that I was only barely old enough to properly appreciate it at that age and so assumed that no one younger than me would be particularly invested in it.

There were bright colors and there was something to be said for the idea of secretly being a princess AND a super-heroine AND having an apparently attractive man to be your prince. Plus, they never seemed to lose a fight against evil! It meshed well with our young conceptions of reality and what made for good storytelling. It was not a particularly sophisticated reason for becoming invested in a show, but it left an enduring impression, to be sure.
