This shiplympics is shaping up to be really weird. Doesn't look like there'll be much carapacewise, but considering how terribly that's gone the last two times I expected as much. More surprisingly, there's no Dave/Terezi at all, although there is Dirk<>Terezi for some reason. Karkat<3Terezi is doing great, though. (As is Karkat<3Nepeta, and just when I was thinking it's weird that's not a popular ship...) Also, most of Kanaya's ships are with boys (Dave<>Kanaya, Eridan<3Kanaya, Eridan<>Kanaya, Gamzee<3Nepeta, though, so it's not like fandom's turned completely upsidedown.
I can't tell if this is a sign fandom's moving in a strange new direction or if people just picked really weird teams to play on for some reason. And if any of this will have any impact on the bonus round fics variety given the voting team's fills give points to the pairing team they use - though I don't think Team English usually did many fills, so it'd probably be a drop in the bucket no matter what.
Anyway point is I will probably get zero snowslick out of this and that's terrible.`
