Check out today's justin page, semi-loyal readers. We're got Legendary Journeys by Hikari no Purinsesu. In a similar vein is Legendary Hero by Random Person number 3. There's also Matt's Story by Act and A Pokeadventure by Ariana, aka Nereid. There's also another story, A Different Person's Journey, which seems to have been deleted already from the author, JessiePotter's, profile.

These stories all have varying levels of ability, but they're all tied together by a common underlying feature of being pretty boring.

Sorry about my fic.

Hi, this is JessiePotter and I'm sorry about my fic. I'm not very good at Pokemon stories and I guess I just suck at them. I'll stick to Harry Potter fics. Sorry my story was terrible.

Hal Hunt- God on earth

Talking on the subject on having invincible, wonderful, amazing character's who are so good, Jesus would have a tough time trying to compare.... Anyway I like to say that it is possible to make a profit writing character's like these. Willard Price wrote a large number of "Adventure" books featuring a character called Hal Hunt. I can shamefacidly admit that I used to like these- but recently when I looked through one of the books I was amazed at how bad it was. Hal was so sickeningly wonderful that I despised him. He was young, strong, had an encylowpedic knowledge, good to point of gulibility and preached often and repeatidly. He never did anything wrong- ever.

Perhaps Mary-sue's can be enjoyed (I used to love the books) by particular age groups and if they appeal perhaps they shouldn't be attacked so much. It would be like attacking Spot books.

As I recall, the people who like mary sues generally don't like them more than they like balanced characters. If you've talking about the sort of age group where you don't notice characterization, my memories of it involve reading all kinds of things and not really caring. Some I look back on in horror, some I don't.

Although it really can't be decided if sues are something people actually enjoy, or if that group is just not very picky. I remember seeing a thread with one person claiming to like reading sue characters, instead of the common view authors just like writing them, but that sort of collapsed when it turned out she was really a sue author using a different name. Research really must be undertaken on the subject.
