Ch7 Lucki

Chapter Seven of Lucki is up and the sentence made by the chapter titles is getting steadily clearer.

But Farla, you say, why isn't Pokemon Revolution's next chapter up? Aren't you supposed to be updating weekly? Didn't you already let it go for months? Aren't you aware that we want you to update Pokemon Revolution, not this?

And the answer is that while updating Lucki requires minor editing, is fun to do, and produces happy reviews, the next chapter of Pokemon Revolution will require major editing, make me sick with stress, and produce a number of enraged reviews about my bashing of Ash, matched only by the number of enraged reviews about my lack of bashing Ash. Honestly, the fact I'm updating it at all is good evidence that I have a learning curve normally found only in jellyfish.

I think what's starting to amuse me the most about Lucki is how it's drawing out everyone who either has a grudge against you or disapproves of your reviewing style- and how they point to the story and boast about how you can't take your own advice, etc.

I'm still scratching my head over this review.

"I can't entirely tell if you're really putting effort into this and are just failing miserably, or if this is going to elaborately twist sometime soon. As far as the rest of your work, this is clearly on the lower end of the 'quality' scale. The plot seems somewhat forced, and the story has none of the engaging elements of your previous writing ventures."

How can he be so close...

"It seems as though you are just throwing together a fanfic just so that you can call yourself a 'fanfic writer' to justify the more extreme reviews you so enjoy giving out. I've wanted a real fanfic from you for some time now, and I'm still waiting. I think it would be much better if you dropped the pretenses and admited that regular fanfics aren't your style."

Well, in fairness, Lucki looks incredibly hypocritical to the more discerning reviewers. But it's also probably that it's just the first fanfic on the list - a lot of people who want to bitch at me through the review system will just click on whatever's newest.

Unfortunately, I did not get a reply when I emailed him about things like what the "real fanfic" he wanted me to write was. This is sad because I'd really like to know what it is I haven't wrote yet.
