Dammit, FFN, stop copying Fanlib! They suck. I hate their stupid graphics and stupid extra text in URLs and stupid fanfic-only categories and wtf is "family"? Since when is that a genre and how soon can it stop being one? STOP IT.

The latter three are phrases that go in summaries in a sane world.

The only ones that are legitimate genre categories are really the first two, and those don't apply to most/all fanfic because they're about a specific subset of stories that has requirements for plot, setting, characters and tone.

Basically, they're unnecessary and annoying me.

Ah. I guess I didn't think much of it because I'm used to seeing that sort of thing on Whofic, which is a site I like for the most part.

I've always found the genre designation pretty useless, but that could just be me.
