Hey, Neon Genesis Inheritors: Revelation Orange has updated to the second chapter. Without so much as a chapter title, I might add, or I'd try to work that into some long string of buzzwords with a colon stuffed in the middle too.

...why do you keep naming that fic that way?

Because it is a fic on Serebii, and so it strikes me personally as exceedingly amusing to do so.

...okay, that said, I have to wonder just how boring this fic is going to be. You may say it's an artistic way to prove a point or whatever, I am unsure, but... the fact remains that the battle in this story could have been improved in any manner to make it a parody and still remain as one. That, and the whole 'they're Pokémon training Pokémon' point seems non-existent to me...

...but perhaps I am simply blinded to these complexities right now.

That said, onto an actually controversial topic: what, I may ask, is your opinion on xXSaberXx and her 'epic masterpiece', xXSaberXx's 'Pokémon Revelations: Cross of Fates' by xXSaberXx? (I saw this as a joke once. An apology, mayhaps, but...)

::sighs, points to penname:: I am not to be blamed for the failings of the story, kay? But I'm sure Irin would be happy to hear your thoughts on the story. By all appearances it's not a parody, though it does seem to be rather odd.

Saber? I can't really give a good bitching on plot or character for anything she's written because I always stall about five lines in with the judgment that it's pretentious overwritten barely legible crap. FFN may be the pit of voles, but Serebii is the swamp of Epic Fail.

I'm not saying you are, I did hear about it. It's an event called 'sharing your opinion', you probably heard of it. It's more that you seem to be very amused by it and I... don't get the story.

And I see. Dang, I wish I had this ability; would have spared me a few fifty headaches.

Part of my being very amused is just the excuse to find new ways to write Serebii-style titles (Next up: Grapes!). In the memories here there's an involved piece-by-piece review/summary of a terrible story I kept posting about largely because I found the titles I gave the characters during it hysterically funny. As to not getting it, eh, maybe she can explain what she's doing. (Or, I dunno, apologize? Her stance in the MARY SUE THREAD OF DOOMY DOOM seems to include saying reviewer enjoyment is important)

And I've always had really low tolerance for urple prose, so it's not so much getting warned off as I really just can't get through it, not even for the joys of mockery. My normal experience with that kind of writing was in a context where the sentences are properly constructed and make sense, where you're supposed to reread them if you don't get it the first time, and so I get frustrated really fast when I hit even one or two that flat-out don't make sense no matter how hard you try.
