So it's the thirteenth. I didn't really notice since I was busy mourning the loss of 6/06/2006 for the past few days. Living in the zero years has such potential for interesting dates, but it's also full of ones you'll only see once, and afterwards it's like the planets almost aligning but not quite each time, slipping further and further away.
At the store today there was a lobster three feet long. Two little kids were looking into the tank. When they saw it they called for their mother to see. She glanced in and out and headed away again to wait in line, and just said, "Don't put your hands in the tank."
I was listening to the radio and in a good mood because everyone sounds so smart there it's comforting, but it's just an illusion and we really are doomed.
The weather was lovely.
