We've got a white Christmas, which I gather from the internet is some sort of big deal to you more southernish peoples. Here, I'm dismayed we got so little. When I was little, we'd always have a blizzard (a proper blizzard, not just a way of saying we're shocked by the fact it's actually snowing) by my birthday.

I successfully avoided Christmas music for most of the month, so we've got it playing now.

Christmas was a pretty simple affair this year. I'm thinking of making a pie. I bought a PSP for my little brother, but it's currently charging. (That, or it flat out won't turn on and we'll need to get a replacement.)

The rooster will not shut up. I mean, he's crowing right now. We're discussing ways one might, hypothetically, make a rooster stay quiet that are acceptable to squeamish people like us. The current actual plan involves a five hour drive to a farm. For a rooster.

(You can get him quiet for short periods by holding him upsidedown at length. As a bonus, this makes it hilarious when he tries to get up afterwards. Chicken hearts are quite good at pumping, but they're designed to get the blood up into the head, not out again. It's also possible to just grab him and force him to sit on the floor, but the Chubbycheeks either starts calling for him, or figures out where he is and wanders away, and he keeps trying to get away.)

Anyway, I'd like to remind everyone that we have only six more days until the end of the month, and if there's going to be any anons telling me I'm a horrible person and OMG POSTING TEH REVIEWS U R EVIL they really need to get with it.

Well, I've managed to reconstruct things a bit. Really, my mistake was thinking things weren't all functioning on a two or three degrees of separation system.

So one of the things I found weird was Moony coming out of nowhere, especially because there didn't seem to be any concerted effort to inform random authors and neither did Moony go anywhere with it. But LJ has implemented their guests feature, and while it seems most people opted out (or else I've got a ton of anons - could be either, really) there are still a lot of new names popping in.

[livejournal.com profile] awriterofthings, for one. Who's doing a "positive review month" to "combat the negativity spreading through fanfiction.net". Which is a step up from what she (and there's where Moony's name pops up) was apparently doing before, which was following me around and posting Don't pay any attention to Farla's review. She's a troll. She's purposely trying to post 900 negative reviews in the pokemon section before the end of the month and your story unfortunately got in the way. to everyone. (No, I don't know where the 900 bit comes from.)

Anyway, I feel the best summary of her attitude is found in I discovered that some of the stories I was reviewing had more chapters. Unfortunately I don't have time to give long reviews on every chapter of every story. If I really enjoy the story, I will make a note to return to it in the future. But I can't afford to waste all my energy on one author when there are others out there who need positive reinforcement too.

And yes, they did manage only three days worth. Really, people, would it kill you to have some work ethic?
