Yes, but their mom doesn't eat her young, and once you see them you're obligated to do something about it. They have big eyes! ::at one point was trying to take care of several hundred swordtail babies::

Luckily she's not mine, but the school's, so any more babies are their problem.

Nope, a platy. They're a type of livebearing fish. The praying mantis' eggs won't hatch until spring, if at all. Hopefully, they won't.
