Hehe, I've seen the reviews you've been leaving around the Pokemon fandom and
I was wondering when it'd be my turn. ;)

All that aside, thank you very much for the concrit-- I will definitely see to
tweaking the beginning a bit, as well as switching some of the verbs around.

(Also, NaReMoWriMo seems like a very commendable effort on your behalf and I
wish you luck with it! And some of the reactions posted to your LiveJournal
are pure gold. Will definitely be lurking to see some of the review replies
you get, haha.)

Yeah I generally disagree with canon in the first place, and it's easier to
write about teenagers than little kids without making little kids seem
unrealistic.

As to your point about proper nouns, you're preaching to the choir on being a
grammar Nazi, trust me, but I disagree with you. Unlike a lot of writers on
this board, I take writing seriously and don't do it for fun. I use fanfiction
as practise, and my useage of capitals at the beginning of each Pokemon
'species' is simply because that's how I've always known it. I'll change it if
more than one person complains about it, but otherwise I don't see it as a
major point.

As to your point with 'said', I can agree. Sometimes I feel like I'm repeating
it too much, but I probably should use it more. Thanks for the review, but I'd
appreciate some positive points as well. Someone might find it offensive if
you only mention the negatives, but luckily I'm not one of them.

I appreciate you telling me this, but...

1. I have read published books (obviously, or I wouldn't be writing here...)
that have used '...' instead of "...". I tend to use " as quotation marks.
And
for thought, I put it in Italics

2. I know, I know... I get told this a lot. My computer has to be one of the
weirdest computers around - or the one that family members mess around with
most - so when my older sister types on FF, she capitalizes things like
Charizard & Pikachu... so it AutoCorrects it whenever I type lower case. I'll
change it now. NOTE: All legendaries keep their name

3. Oops! Automatic Reaction!

4. The thing is - that is a group of working pokemon (or as you read on,
Bronze Rank). Only one of each RARE pokemon are in each rank - if that. Seeing
as eevee's are rare, so are Vaporeons, Flareons etc. Though there is a
breeding program, it is currently not working, because... if you're going to
read on, I should only tell you "Galactic Problem"... so until the others
come, there are very few... And, as you'll read later if you continue, rare
pokemon must be allowed to evolve - all moon, fire etc. stones are guarded. If
it is a pokemon that evolves when happy, it is given a Never-stone if the
pokemon agrees.

Sorry if it seems mixed up at the moment! I really hope you'll keep on
reading, as you have good advice and eagle-eyes. Thankyou for kindly pointing
these out to me - greatly appreciated!

I normally never respond to reviews on other people's stories, but I've never
met anyone who didn't capitalize the names of Pokemon. That's just really,
really stupid. And I'm no white knight, but I have to complain about your
reviewing skill as a whole. Like you, I love to leave bitchy reviews and
flames, but yours are just really dumb and nitpicky, and incredibly boring.
Try to think up some new material, eh? And you've got to personalize them.
You'll never make a reader cry by sounding like a grammar textbook. Or if your
aim was to help rather than hurt, you haven't offered anything more than any
literate twelve-year-old could say. Criticism about syntax alone is for
amateurs. Criticize the storytelling _skill_. Plot, dialogue, characters! You
touched on them, but then went off to talk about commas or paragraphs or
whatever the fuck it was.

Like I said, no white knighting. I may have given the story a positive review,
but I know how stupid it actually is. I just felt like being nice that day,
since it was decent compared to other things on here. I can handle mediocrity,
but watching someone's attempts at wit fall flat on their face while they pat
themselves on the back for their lack of talent is what really makes the bile
rise in my throat. You are just so dull and completely talentless that I'm at
a loss. You clearly think highly of yourself, but may I suggest hanging around
an online community more advanced than Gaia or Club Penguin or wherever you
kids go these days before thinking you're the absolute authority on reviewing
bad fanfic? I can assure you, I'm better, and I don't even pretend to be a
writer.

"Don't capitalize the names of Pokemon." My god, girl, even Bulbapedia, the
word of law in the Pokemon fandom, capitalizes the names of Pokemon. What a
stupid thing to say.
