This is extremely satisfying, I should have thought of this years ago.

Edit: Oh my god this is so much fun. From now on all capitalization arguments will be done entirely through the medium of copy-paste and emoticons.

It's kinda cute how he uses the term "American" as an insult when his e-wife is from the States. A bit nineteenth-century much?

'Course, this might sound like I'm missing the point, but mostly, I'm just here to say it's practically an internet law that the first person to insult the opponent on the basis of something completely unrelated is also usually the one who auto-loses the argument. Also that Australians are just as illiterate as we are and that his argument about how people are more used to seeing capitals is sort of nulled by the one he made concerning accents, what with the fact that people are just as used to seeing the word "Pokemon" as they are "Pokémon" and all. Besides, maybe I'm not reading his post correctly, but what else would a writer be talking about if they wrote "charizard"? I'm really curious to know what kinds of mental images pop up in the minds of readers other than an orange, winged dragon with a flame on its tail and the ability to light you on fire.

Just, you know, trying to grasp that "your readers might misunderstand" argument there because I think it's cute. That and I would love to hear some lulzy speculations on what else a charizard would be.

While I think he's sincere about believing the words should be capitalized, I don't think any of his individual arguments have meaning beyond being different phrasings of "I AM YELLING LOUDLY WHILE MALE NOW DO WHAT I SAY COW".

not that this is relevant to the argument at hand, but i kind of hope his "wife"'s profile is out of date when it lists her age as fifteen
