Angry? Are you kidding? You'd have just found out that, unlike most other new trainers across the country, all you'd have to do to be an instant success might be to run back home and beg, steal or blacmail one guy...

But Oak's already given away half the contents of his lab to the sue. All he's got left are a bunch of rattata and an empty potion bottle. All because you showed initiative and responsibility.

But you wouldn't know that until you got back. That's when I'd go from hopeful to angry, way after I first saw the sue's team.
