So I figured out how to lock forum topics.

Now I must return to fighting with my torrent program, which hasn't been working for a week or two. I'm assuming this is connected to the security upgrade. Otherwise the school's network is just fucking with me. Anyway, because of the issue of a network it's really hard to pinpoint the exact problem - especially since it wasn't working so well from the start, and because disabling security features to see if that's the problem makes the network cut my computer off entirely. I'm trying to avoid going down to the school's IT department because I'm not entirely sure how they'll take a complaint that I'm no longer able to abuse their bandwidth to download illegal material.

Which is exactly why torrents are horrible! Go with direct downloading!

To not even go into the issue that most of what I want isn't available as a direct download...how exactly do you think I can successfully direct download 11 gigabyte files?

You can always go youtube, or read the manga. I know a site you can read it without downloading it.

Youtube has its own problems. My connection speed isn't that good, and my computer's been doing this odd thing where it'll spontaneously decide it's done loading a file midway through - so videos take a while to load and often cut out halfway through.

That, and my example was of something I already have. The files I want are of lesser known things that are as far as I can tell exclusively available as torrents.

You're watching Naruto?! Is it actually a good show, because it just looks terrible and very kiddish.

It's not exactly the best show ever, but it's cute. When it's funny it's very funny, when it's dramatic it's dramatic, when it's a fight scene it's a well animated fight scene, etc. At its worst it's a tolerable if predictable shonen anime. At its best it's a good drama with cool characters. Either way, it's quite pretty.

There are occasional bursts of stupid, but they're actually pretty few and far between and they're usually short in duration.
