Yami's gotten emo again!

It's so unfair, world! Yami is being persecuted unfairly! She never said any of that stuff! It was her identical twin hacking her account you guys obviously duh! OPPRESSION!

"But really I wonder how 'I nearly thought tl;dr' turned into omg purple drake is whining, he's a cuntfuck who's flooding my story with 6+ pages of reviews! omg shut uppppp stop pointing out my proooobleeeeems I am ignooorriiiing them like uuuu, I only listen to saaaandra cuz I allowed her to beta! and all this shit."

We need a Yami bingo made up.

The crazy part is, that's not even the most WTFy thing she's got up. No, that honor would have to go to the the lovely pair of posts where she bitched about being denied health insurance (summary: it is all the unwed mothers' fault), then next post went OMG TEH OBAMARXIST WILL TAKE UR MONEYS N U WILL DESERVES IT!!! btw got welfare insurance guys. SOCIALISM IS WRONG!

...countdown to her switching to yet another journal in three, two...

Actually, we should take bets on which comes first, yams-potato.livejournal.com or the Serebii flounce?

Not to mention, of course, the reply to her entry switching from "take your medicine" to "omg I'm so sorry I ever doubted you purple_drake really truly only said all that because he was bitching please forgive me."

I think that if Yami left, the forum IQ might actually go up a fair few points. It doesn't help that she has poisoned the minds of countless innocents (using the term lightly, of course), and now, once again, you have kiddies imitating her because they think Yami is teh foshizzle. :B At least it would make SPPf a little less fail as a whole.

Oh, and her dear Modfriend gave her a cute little infraction for her stunt with purple_drake, surprisingly enough. I do, however, find it most amusing that now she's sending in reports of rule-breaking where she whines about how if she Modsharks got her, we should get them, too (you know, being the evil people we are).

So Sandra has joined the ranks of the Modsharks! ^^ About bloody time, too!

PS: It's a pun!
PPS: You know you're obsessed with Rent when: you almost write out the song lyrics to La Vie Bohème in your opening sentence. XD

Up to the giddy stratospheres of the mid-eighties.

The term "minds", I take it?

That might be a bit harsh on Serebii, so here's soemthing positive to balance it out: at least Serebii has an able base of administrators and exemplary server stability.

O mai, I must at once go to Yami and plead at her feet for forgiveness, for clearly I have committed the gravest of sins by mistaking the person who posted under her name as herself. :O

Also lol at the 'nearly' thought tl;dr. Clearly I was just imagining the point-blank, in-your-face 'when I said things were tl;dr I never truly meant it until now' introductory paragraph before she 'replied' to my review.

Strangely, I'm more hurt by the other person's turning around and saying I was bitching. I mean, Yami I expected it from, but you'd expect anyone else with half a mind and a little maturity would see otherwise.

Bitching? Really. Love to see *that* person attempting to pitch a novel to a publisher.

On the side, I can't get over the fact they think I'm male. XD I mean, not that I blame them--'Drake' is a male name (even though it's not a male name here, darnit, it's a kind of dragon!) I just always find it amusing when people think I'm male. XD Now I'm curious: do I really come across as such?

It's unfortunate, but people would rather choose Yami's side than go against her. They've not only been brainwashed into thinking being a bitch is cool, they're also smart (?) enough not to get on Yami's badside. Regardless of what the truth really is, of course.

Heh, for some reason people think that outspoken reviewers are male. I've been called a guy a couple of times, too. Because women are softspoken and gentle, you see, we could never be critical of anything. *rolls eyes*

And no, you don't come across as a guy to me. However, I already knew that beforehand, so my opinion is rather biased.

Well, it seems now they're more uncertain about their position than a bitch-in-training. It's a step up.

*You've* been called a guy? O.o Even taking into account the anonymity of Teh Interwebz, I've never thought 'Silawen' could be anything but a female name.

Assuming that it's happened to you on SPPf and not another forum. XD

One can only hope more people follow.

Oh yes, repeatedly. I don't get it either, especially because I'm a Tolkien nut and know 'wen' is always female, but it happens. XD

Only on Serebii, only on Serebii... *sigh*

People always assume I'm a guy, too. It's incredible, but when you don't litter your posts with fangirl shit and anime pictures and actually type coherently, people assume you're a guy. *shrug* I've always made sure my handles were asexual because, unfortunately, guys tend to get taken more seriously (especially when it comes to sports forums and stuff). I never post my age anywhere, either... which isn't much of an issue now, but when I was younger I found people would just dismiss me.

*shrug* Just IMO, anyway.

People in online fora used to assume I was male almost constantly. Even if I frequented an intersexual or female-dominated board, they'd still call me "dude" or some other masculine title. Someone even called me a son of a bitch once.

It's incredible, but when you don't litter your posts with fangirl shit and anime pictures and actually type coherently, people assume you're a guy.
Maybe male fans' only experience with female posters is through fangirl shit. Or perhaps they presume that all female fans are hyperactive fangirls, so they expect women to type incoherently. It's very unfair. But I have noticed that guys rarely seem to behave the same way (or maybe I've just been inhabiting the wrong message boards). For this reason, I wish the members of [livejournal.com profile] frungylovers would use excessive capital letters less often; we didn't get the "deviant schoolgirls on speed" label for nothing.

"Dude" and "you guys" are often used as gender neutral these days. Dude can be a kind of exclamation and you guys is very often, in my experience, used to address a group of mixed sex.

Oh, *that* I could manage. =D My sister's threatened to hit me when I fangirl too much. I should start advertising my bishie in my signature again. XD

I never really started joining forums until I was older, so I never really had a problem with the age thing, I have to admit. Strangely, I've never considered people mistaking me for male as a sexist thing either, just an amusing mistake that happens from time to time. O.o Definitely puts a different spin on things.

... although, didn't everyone used to think Ryano Ra was female back in the day? XD I know I did, when I first joined SPPf.

Actually, I've always seen the male thing as a combination of two factors:
1) There are no girls on the internet. There are three that are actually guys pretending to be girls, and a bunch of really girly guys. Poster talking? Poster is male. Poster talking about hot guys? Poster is male, but gay. Poster is doing anything else stereotypically female? Poster is male, but a wuss (and possibly gay).
2) "He" is the default pronoun. People will use it without thinking, and proceed with the assumption you're male from there.

So I have no idea who this person is, and I have just been lurking in this LJ and am naturally attracted to drama, but Jesus Christ if her "Obama won because he's black and we're all going to SUFFERRRR" rant is not the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life.
