Yami's gotten emo again!

It's so unfair, world! Yami is being persecuted unfairly! She never said any of that stuff! It was her identical twin hacking her account you guys obviously duh! OPPRESSION!

"But really I wonder how 'I nearly thought tl;dr' turned into omg purple drake is whining, he's a cuntfuck who's flooding my story with 6+ pages of reviews! omg shut uppppp stop pointing out my proooobleeeeems I am ignooorriiiing them like uuuu, I only listen to saaaandra cuz I allowed her to beta! and all this shit."

We need a Yami bingo made up.

The crazy part is, that's not even the most WTFy thing she's got up. No, that honor would have to go to the the lovely pair of posts where she bitched about being denied health insurance (summary: it is all the unwed mothers' fault), then next post went OMG TEH OBAMARXIST WILL TAKE UR MONEYS N U WILL DESERVES IT!!! btw got welfare insurance guys. SOCIALISM IS WRONG!

...countdown to her switching to yet another journal in three, two...

Actually, we should take bets on which comes first, yams-potato.livejournal.com or the Serebii flounce?

People in online fora used to assume I was male almost constantly. Even if I frequented an intersexual or female-dominated board, they'd still call me "dude" or some other masculine title. Someone even called me a son of a bitch once.

It's incredible, but when you don't litter your posts with fangirl shit and anime pictures and actually type coherently, people assume you're a guy.
Maybe male fans' only experience with female posters is through fangirl shit. Or perhaps they presume that all female fans are hyperactive fangirls, so they expect women to type incoherently. It's very unfair. But I have noticed that guys rarely seem to behave the same way (or maybe I've just been inhabiting the wrong message boards). For this reason, I wish the members of [livejournal.com profile] frungylovers would use excessive capital letters less often; we didn't get the "deviant schoolgirls on speed" label for nothing.

"Dude" and "you guys" are often used as gender neutral these days. Dude can be a kind of exclamation and you guys is very often, in my experience, used to address a group of mixed sex.
