It wasn't all crap...nothing actually good, but there was a promising OT story (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3043131/1/) starting with an established and semi-bastard trainer. And there was a somewhat decent oneshot thing (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3042179/1/) that was about a woman left behind by her lover when he went off to be a pokemon master so she devoted herself to training her pokemon and beats him - decent enough though not great, and for some ill-advised reason, the author decided to make them Lorelei and Lance respectively, though her Lorelei has nothing in common with the canon one.
I'll have to check out your recs, though. The first one looks familiar, but then again, a lot of fics use the words "dark" and "light" in their titles, I suppose. Not that there's much wrong with that, but I wouldn't be surprised if I did read another fic with that title.
