I really do think he's trolling by now. He just reviewed someone to say there were some problems but they didn't need to change anything because it was great, and then if the person replies without getting upset that'll prove my reviews are bad.

Pseudo-science is fun! Especially when the lead pseudo-scientist has no idea how to conduct a proper experiment, nor how a theory is proven, and certainly not how theories turn into laws!

The important part is that whatever happens is absolutely definitely proving me wrong.

Someone should keep demanding he review me, though. His main argument is about giving nicely worded reviews no matter what the content - proving he's able to do that is far more relevant than proving if you kiss ass enough people won't yell at you, and also it's a lot funnier. If he really thinks I should always be sugar and spice, he needs to do it himself.

I know this is a completely weird to fixate on but the least the guy he can do is make his insults a little personal.

Say, "too busy sniffing chicken butts" or "getting off to that to that spider chick from that webcomic". It only takes three seconds to figure out some! Yaoi fangirl seems such a generic thing to just throw around.

I think this is my favorite part of the whole thing, because it's just so bizarrely out there. I honestly can't tell if he chose "Red x Ash" specifically because he thought the fact that it was weird intercontinuity selfcest fanart would make his incredible diss that much more insulting, or if he really hasn't ever looked at slash in his life and actually doesn't know that that's not really a common pairing.

And also, I think he really underestimates your ability to multitask.

And I know, it's all so weird, like he's running his insults through some sort of translation filter. I thought Gary/Ash was the main oldschool pairing! Also, generally written porn not visual. (Though he probably means the two staring into each other's eyes because homosexuality is automatically XXX rated.) Also also, how is "I accuses you of looking at teh yaois" a big deal in the first place? That's what really boggles me.

I actually googled the pairing, just out of curiosity. There about five pictures total that even featured both of them, and out of that there was exactly one that could be seen as romantic. (On the other hand, though,there was also one featuring Red's pikachu brutally mauling Ash's pikachu. So that was...interesting.)

I'm just going to go with "he doesn't know or care what he's talking about" and leave it at that.

Well, if you want to try again to get him to do some proper pseudoscience, get him to review people I haven't already done. My extensive learnings on the matter are that people always take a review less badly if they've gotten a harsher review before. And anyway, some concrit, even stuff as weak as his, is still a step up for the category.

Calling the archetypical uke a girl is insulting to girls everywhere.

I phrase it as a joke, but I'm actually completely serious. Even if you're not specifically talking about the uke, "chick with a dick!" is not a good criticism because a lot of "chicks" don't act stereotypically feminine and some men do. You're better off pointing out why it's OOC or implausible for that particular male character, if that's the issue.

Though if anyone who wrote the stereotypical chick with a dick (it's just a term, a stereotype if you will, since it's a pretty commonly accepted term like Mary-Sue.) and managed to be able to get offended by me calling their character that I'd be highly impressed, then highly concerned on what exactly they were writing.

I was a reader, and then a writer as well. I used to read a ton of fanfic and comment on them. As I became a better reader, and as I got more experience with good feedback on my own writing, my reviews started to reflect that.

The current crusader type stuff is because I'm also stubborn.

But kind of a time waster in a lot of situations. Spamming dialogue/capitalization paragraphs doesn't exactly take much thought. If I ever finish reading Aooooooo's carapace fic I think I'll try out the FFN category again, there was more variety there than in Pokemon.
